i discovered a new swimming route near antarctica. for some reason, some other people and i were swimming massive distances like it was really ordinary and i discovered a new area by looking at a map. the new area kind of highlighted itself like in a video game. when i swam to it i saw whales and other creatures below in the deep waters.

i found an electronics engineering textbook in multiple volumes from the early 20th century. one of the volumes was just titled "schizophrenia" and it had discussions, techniques, and diagrams for building devices that could induce schizophrenia. one of them was just a device that had 2 leds turning on and off, one at half the frequency of the other.

i was hanging out with friends and told them i was going to the store to get something, but i ended up going to russia instead. the architecture was really cramped and haphazardly stacked and connected, sort of like the kowloon walled city but with a european aesthetic. i ended up getting into a taxi/uber and the driver said he figured out how to drive in reverse on the highway. he said it was better for the gas mileage. he did a swerving maneuver to flip the car around so it was now driving backwards. as we were driving like this we passed some other people driving the same way and he started to race them.

i was getting an mri and the contrast flowing into my veins via iv felt really disturbing. there was also an assembly line of patients sitting in chairs that moved along a track. when one person was done, all the chairs would move forward and the next person/chair would be loaded into the machine.

1. my friend had just started getting into hunting and had killed his first deer. we were talking about compartmentalizing the experience so as not to let it affect other areas of his life.
2. this is set in the german countryside at some point in the past or maybe in an alternate reality. the people of the nearby town built a gigantic swing system where dozens to hundreds of people would cling to a horizontally suspended wooden beam. one end would be lifted hundreds of feet into the air and then dropped so that it would then swing the other way (like that pirate ship ride at amusement parks but on a much larger scale and with no seats). i was at one end and our side was ascending. i started getting afraid of the height so the guy next to me attached a harness to me. then we began our descent and it was like we were flying through the countryside, it was both thrilling and terrifying. at some point it was understood that the guy who fastened my harness was some relative, like a cousin or an uncle. after landing we went to his house for a family gathering. during the celebration we hugged each other out of happiness for the state of the world: lots of people like us living out their lives to the fullest, creating things like the gigantic wooden swing and the beautiful buildings i saw in the countryside. at some point during the embrace reality shifted back to our real world. the house we were in no longer had a classic/beautiful interior and it became filled with stupid products like breakfast cereal and plastic kitchen utensils. the embrace transitioned into on of despair rather than joy.
3. i was preparing to perform pieces of music on a keyboard in a concert setting. for some reason i had to tune the keyboard and it was taking forever. i kept finding mechanisms on it whose functions i didn't understand. it was taking forever to tune so i started talking to the people in the audience and we were having a genuinely good time, meanwhile i kept getting more and more nervous as i kept finding more and more mechanisms i didn't understand.

i was talking with my friend about the korean movie "parasite" and i said i didn't think it was very good. my friend responded "my sister got it for her husband as a keepsake."

i was in a target department store in south korea with my parents explaining to them that one of the reasons movies and tv shows are so ubiquitous is to get people used to the way actors talk and act because [REDACTED].
in this world there was a film camera that had a small window on it and there were machines in public places you could attach the camera to to view the undeveloped pictures on the roll of film inside the camera.

i ordered food online and then got a call from the restaurant to clarify the order. the caller id was in kanji but i felt like i was losing my mind trying to look at it. it was like i was looking directly at it but couldn't see it. i think the characters looked like 置幸, but every time i looked at them they shifted slightly out of the center of my vision.

what i assume to be [REDACTED] started bombing rural communities including my parents' house. later they deployed amphibious search-and-destroy AI vehicles.
